A hypnotic pattern that could easily put you in a trance appeared in the water, whilst the frequencies of the line "Love's the death of peace of mind" from the song 'THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND' pulsed through it. Oh, you're an anime fan? Then you're probably thinking too that it LOOKS LIKE A SHARINGAN, RIGHT?!
From exploring and interpreting the song lyrics and musical structure, to observing the collision of individual musical components, and seeing how their amalgamation manifested in the water and was captured in a unique photograph – we poured all our thoughts, time, and love into creating something that we hope you'll love as much as the song itself.
An actual cymatics pattern, created in water and captured with a camera, precise lighting and a lot of patience. Pure resonance, visualised. This print shows the original photography, enhanced artistically: through the strong contrast between red and black, a pattern appeared that could easily put you under its spell. If you're like Zacch and like manga and anime, the pattern likely makes you think of the Sharingan - eyes that bleed, because the owners feel emotions in their strongest magnitude. Fitting for a band whose music bursts with emotion (and who also likes merch in anime style).
No AI, but rather actual patterns of a song's frequencies. We visualise music through sonic resonance - physically-speaking, not metaphorically. What your ear hears, is visualised as a pattern in water - every pattern is created by the song itself. But we go one step further: we contextualise the resonance image anew - depending on the atmosphere or meaning of the song. Every art piece is a blend of sound, meaning and visuals.

We’re a small artist-run label based in Germany, and we still want to make our art accessible to people all over the world – under the fairest conditions possible. 💌
We currently ship to the following countries: Germany, the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom (UK), the United States of America (USA), Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Shipping to other countries is only possible upon request – feel free to contact us at info@melissadowden-art.com.
Delivery can take up to two weeks, but it’s usually much faster. As soon as your print is on its way, you’ll of course receive a tracking number.
Each print is produced only after your order is placed – we don’t produce in advance, but intentionally create only what is truly wanted. This helps conserve resources and avoid overproduction.
