The frequency of a syllable of the word "ascension" from the song 'Ascensionism' creates a pattern in water that resembles a flower.

From debating and interpreting the song's lyrics and musical structure, to analysing a specific syllable of Vessel's singing, to capturing that syllable physically in water and incorporating it into a photograph and painting like no other - we've put a tonne of thought and time and love into creating something that we hope will 'ascend' your experience of the song.

Variant 1 - Art Photography: Photograph of the invisible
An actual cymatics pattern, created in water and captured with a camera, precise lighting and a lot of patience. Pure resonance, visualised. This print shows the original photography, enhanced artistically: through tender light accents and highlighted lines, the pattern takes on the shape of a cosmic flower. A piece that transforms forces of nature into art.

Variant 2 - Fine Art Print: Hand-painted acrylic on canvas
Mel translated our interpretation of the song into a unique painting that incorporates the sound waves' pattern. The 'flower' blends with leitmotifs such as the ascent and desire to disappear.

No AI, but real frequency patterns of a song. We use sonic resonance to make music visible - with physics. What your ear can hear, is made visible as a pattern in water - every pattern is created by the song itself. But we don't stop there: we put the resonance picture into a new context - based on the atmosphere or meaning of the song. And this creates a work of art that combines sound, meaning and visuals.
